W.I.T.C.H. Wiki

Ember (also known as Ember the Pain[citation needed] and Embers in the comics) is a fictional minor villainess who is a member of Nerissa's Knights of Destruction, also called the Four Knights of Revenge.

Ember's appearance in the comics and the TV series are very similar, they do have some differences. In both versions, she is a slender woman made of smoldering lava, with bat-like wings on her back, holding a trident from which she can shoot fire and hair resembling flames.

In the comics, her skin, outfit, bat wings, and weapon are all gray and outlined in red.

In the TV series, Ember's appearance is more colorful, with various tints of red, orange and yellow applied to her skin, outfit, bat wings and weapon.

One of the Four Knights of Revenge given life by Nerissa, Embers was created from the lava which flowed around Nerissa's tomb. She represents the pain that Nerissa felt while being locked away – that which she now wants to inflict on Kandrakar.[1] She was absorbed by Nerissa in the final battle, causing her to melt again into lava and disappear.[2]

TV series

Ember and Tridart

One of the Four Knights of Destruction, given life by Nerissa with her power over Quintessence from the lava which flowed around Mount Thanos. She represents the pain that Nerissa felt for killing Cassidy.[citation needed]

In her first appearance, she targeted Irma, as her pain over humiliating Martin Tubbs in her school radio station made her more powerful.[3]

She was killed by Nerissa when she was absorbed by her.[4]

Powers and abilities

Befitting her nature, she attacks foes with blazing hot beams from her weapon – a type of trident.

TV series

Ember gets her strength from the pain and misery of her opponents. Ember basically controlled the element of Fire. Her weapon is like a trident only made from lava rather than ice and shoots lava blasts instead of icy blasts.

In the TV series, Ember appeared to have some kind of "relationship" with Tridart.[citation needed]

  • Her and Tridart are the only two knights made up from inanimate matter, and are opposites: fire and ice.
  • She is voiced by Cree Summer.
