G is for Garbage is the seventh episode of season 2, and the thirty-third episode overall of the TV series.

Plot

Blunk finds the Horn of Hypnos, but it gets stolen by Jeek. Irma then leaves for Meridian, along with Matt and Blunk. The three track Jeek's hiding spot, only to find out that the Knights of Vengeance got a hold of it. To make matters worse, Will, Taranee, Cornelia, Hay Lin, and Matt are turned into trance marchers. It is now up to Irma and Blunk to save her friends. When Will blows the horn at Irma and Blunk, they use earplugs to fake their hypnotism to get close enough to the horn and destroy it. In the B-story, Irma is mad at Blunk for covering her garage in trash and is forced by her father to clean it.

Trivia

  • Every second-season episode has a clear focus on one of the five main characters. This episode is one of 5 in the season to focus on Irma Lair.
  • Although the Horn of Hypnos disintegrated in Walk This Way, it appears for the second time in this episode. Based on these instances, as well as the ending of this episode, it seems that some time after the spell is broken the Horn reappears elsewhere.
  • This is the first appearance of Jeek since the episode The Stolen Heart in season 1.
  • This is the only episode of season 2 where Nerissa does not appear.
  • Caleb does not appear in this episode proper. However, he was seen in the flashback at the beginning of the episode.
  • Blunk remembers that a particular melody will break the Horn's spell. The tunes he hums are identified by Irma as "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star", the alphabet song, and "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep". All three of these have the same melody, so he is actually humming the same incorrect tune each time.
  • Irma's transformation into a Guardian looks different from how it usually appears because of her supposedly being a Trance Marcher.
  • This is Hay Lin's second time being a Trance Marcher, as she was the only Guardian turned into one the last time the Horn appeared.
  • Irma is the only member of the Guardians to never become a Trance Marcher.
