W.I.T.C.H. Wiki

Away From the Heart is the twelfth and final issue of Arc 10: Ladies vs. W.I.T.C.H. and the hundred-and-twenty-ninth issue of the W.I.T.C.H. comics.

Will and Matt continued to keep their distance but still managed to unwillingly run into each other, time and time again. Their respective friends tried to help them out, but all in vain.

When they stopped focusing on avoiding each other and just focused on themselves, Will started to feel a lot better and decided it was finally time to meet Matt and talk.

Will and Matt were both still very saddened by their breakup: Will opened herself to Dean, while Matt's friends tried to distract him with some fun group activities, which only partially worked. At one point, Will decided that she was tired to cry and wanted to go back with Matt, but not at the moment: her plan was to disappear and make him miss her.

Together, the five W.I.T.C.H. girls decided that, in order to have Matt not find Will even by chance, she had to avoid the places both of them usually frequented, so they drew a map and started going into places they never knew before. But troubles soon arose: not only those new places were not of their taste, but also they continued to find Matt anywhere they went, with great discomfort of Will, who kept staying hidden behind her friends. In fact, Matt too had the same idea of the map for avoiding Will, and even he did not want to talk to her.

Time passed, Will managed to exit her dark mood and things started to get better, both at home and school, so she found the strength to meet Matt, but with a new resolution: instead of taking him back, she decided that, if it was what he wanted, she would let him go. Matt, in fact, told Will that it would be better if they stayed friends, so they parted that way, but less than a minute later (and thanks to a friendly couple of elders who witnessed the scene and encouraged him), Matt ran back to Will, took back everything he said and confessed he still loved her. With one last hug, Matt and Will resumed their relationship, thanking the elder couple for the help.
