The Italian theme song (simply titled "W.I.T.C.H.") is the theme song used for the Italian dub of the TV series. It is also the first track (and promoted on the cover[1]) of the album LS3, which was released in 2006 and otherwise consists of songs unrelated to the W.I.T.C.H. franchise.[2]

The song was performed by the group Lucky Star,[2] and written by Max Longhi and Giorgio Vanni.[3] The full version is 3 minutes and 18 seconds long (3:18).

This song only appears as the theme in Italy. Most releases of the TV series internationally, both in English and dubbed, use the original theme song for the TV series, W.I.T.C.H. Theme Song.

Release notes[]

  • Broadcasts of the TV series in Italy have used this song together with the Italian opening sequence, which consists of clips from actual episodes and the original opening, and is approximately 1 minute and 15 seconds long (1:15).
  • DVD releases including the Italian dub generally feature the song as both the opening and ending (closing credits) music. An exception is the first volume (containing the first three episodes), where the original English-language theme song is used for the opening, but the Italian theme is still heard during the credits.
    • However, as the DVDs have only the original English-language video, the song is further shortened to one minute and 30 seconds respectively. The Italian DVD opening audio also ends with the sound effect of Will shining the Heart of Kandrakar (from the original opening audio) to match the video, which is not present in the broadcast opening as it ends with a different clip.
