V is for Victory is the twenty-second episode of season 2, and the forty-eighth episode overall of the TV series.

Plot

Will makes a deal with Prince Phobos, since only the heir to the Meridian throne can claim its Heart, which is within the Seal of Nerissa. In exchange for freedom, he is obliged to return the Heart.

Phobos swears an oath on the power of Kandrakar that he will not use the power of the seal for himself. Irma discovers a way to free Cassidy, Halinor, Kadma, and Yan Lin's Altermere form from Nerissa's control. Cassidy is able to actually break free of the mind control during the battle. In turn, Nerissa absorbs the old Guardians into her seal, gaining total elemental control. Nerissa eventually runs scared after Phobos nearly takes her seal.

In the B-story, Will's main opponent at the swimming competition is Mandy Anderson, who just happens to be "a really old friend" of Matt's!

Release notes
