X is for Xanadu is the 24th episode of the 2nd Season and the 50th episode overall of W.I.T.C.H. It first aired December 9, 2006.

Summary

Phobos returns to Meridian and begins conquering it with battle after battle ending in his victory with his new powers,resulting in him renaming the Seal of Nerissa the "Scepter of Phobos".

While the Guardians are trying to stop him, Phobos turns Meridian into an evil kingdom again. Meanwhile trapped inside the Seal Nerissa critique's Phobos's plans causing the Old Guardians and Elyon (who has reabsorbed some of her power) to turn against her. The two air guardians stop the conflict and urge the women to unite in Harmony as it is the only way they can escape and assist those who side against the corrupt prince.

In the B-story, Hay Lin has to complete an art project on Xanadu, her vision of paradise her vision of paradise, but has come down with a case of "painter's block". To make things even more complicated, Hay Lin finds out that one of the judges is Leelee Quinones, her favorite artist!

Trivia

• At one point of the battle between Phobos and the Guardians, Will's skirt is pink instead of teal.
• Phobos references the film Apocalypse Now when he says "I love the smell of despair in the morning."
